Our business practices reflect our commitment to delivering to those customers’ needs - we focus exclusively on the apparel industry, we design and manufacture all of our apparel to top quality standards, we strive to set up our systems and processes so that it is easy for our customers to do business with us, and we are proud to be the market leader in value priced scrubs. Fulfilling our customers’ needs is our #1 goal.

What makes our relationships special is our dedicated sales force, account management and customer service teams. They are here for our customers – they work closely with each customer to create growth opportunities, listen to issues and develop customer specific solutions.
Our company
White Swan originated as a family business out of Yonkers, New York in 1916 and was known for its high fashion and quality uniforms for nurses. In 1988, White Swan merged with another long-standing name in uniforms – Meta. Meta was founded in 1896 in Chicago Illinois and was known throughout the industry for its Labcoats. The combined companies resulted in a comprehensive apparel product offering to the health care industry.
In 1995 White Swan became part of Dowling Textiles and added expertise in low cost, quality manufacturing to its extensive breadth of product. Fundamentals “Five Easy Pieces” was launched shortly after this and White Swan quickly became the industry leader in the value-priced scrub market.
In less than 10 years Fundamentals has grown to include over 20 styles, 25 solids, 13 re-orderable prints and 100% cotton and pre-washed denim. White Swan has also launched several other product lines to address emerging market needs expressed by our customers; OceanSoft, Performance RX and Five Star Chef Apparel. META and Fundamental brand labcoats provide top quality, fashion and function that our customers expect.
Today, White Swan is a division of the Encompass Group, LLC of McDonough, Georgia.
White Swan continues its tradition of excellent quality, superior fit, innovative fabric and style treatment. We are committed to bringing more new products to the marketplace that deliver value, are fashion forward and functional.
