Care Information
The top and bottom covers of the pressure reduction mattresses should be cleaned with soap, water and a soft bristle brush before wipe-down/disinfecting procedures to prevent staining, then use standard cleaning solutions.
These solutions must be properly diluted according to manufacturer’s instructions using regular hospital wipe-down/disinfecting procedures.
The following cleaning agents can be used on the mattress without fabric or coating breakdown or loss of waterproofing!
8% Chlorine Boil
10% Chlorine Wipe-down
Quaternary Wipe-down (Properly Diluted)
Phenolic Wipe-down (Properly Diluted)

Other Cleaning Guidelines
Pressure reduction mattresses must be cleaned after each patient use.
Staff should wear appropriate protective apparel when cleaning mattresses.
Laundering is not recommended and is not necessary under normal circumstances.
After wipe-down/disinfecting procedures have been completed, allow the top cover surface to completely air dry before bed makeup.
If the top cover retains an unpleasant odor, a final wipe-down with a scented mouthwash (less than 4% alcohol) will freshen it. Lemon scented cleaners/disinfectants may also be used.
The zippered cover does not need to be removed for cleaning, nor should it be opened during use. The zipper is provided to allow repair or replacement of component parts, if required. Should this be necessary, please contact your sales representative.
