What is the height (thickness) of your cushions?
Different cushions come in different thicknesses, but most of them vary from approximately 3 to 4 inches thick. Please see the Support Surfaces (Seating) section for detailed information for each cushion's specifications.

Are replacement covers available?
Most of our cushions are designed and priced to be single patient use disposable and do not come equipped with a zipper for the covers to be replaced.

Can custom sizes be made?
While we can make custom sizes, they represent a change from our normal manufacturing process. Our cushions come in a variety of sizes to match virtually any wheelchair seat. But we realize there are always exceptions. Depending on the size of the order and whether we can find the time to manufacture a product that is away from our norm, will decide whether we can make a specially sized product. Please consult your Therapeutic Support Systems representative or our customer service department for specific information and availability.

What is the patient weight limits on your seating cushions?
In most cases, the upper weight limit on our cushions is approximately 250 lbs. But that does not mean that at 251 lbs. they are totally ineffective. In any and all cases, having a pressure reduction device under a high risk patient is better than not having one. But for patients that weigh more there does exist a situation of diminishing returns when their weight goes past 250 lbs.

What is the normal freight charge for shipping wheelchair cushions?
Normally the shipping amount is entirely a function of time, size, weight and location of the final destination. Under normal circumstances our products are shipped FedEx/UPS ground, from our Southern California factory. Please consult your Therapeutic Support Systems representative or our customer service department for actual freight amounts in your area.

Do you have any pressure readings or Case Studies?
Many of our cushions have been clinically evaluated in healthcare facilities across the United States. We also have a variety of pressure readings available for our more advanced cushions. For more information please » Contact Us
