The original felt was discovered when Roman soldiers would place wool in their sandals to prevent blisters on long trips. At the end of the journey the heat and pressure had turned the wool into a flat, durable, matt-like material. Today we use polyester fiber and thousands of needles to produce the durable, washable felt pad.

Our Gold Label mattress pads use 3 oz. per square yard of bonded polyester fiberfill quilted on top with a cool poly/cotton percale. The bottom side is quilted with 100% polypropylene, giving the appearance of a premium pad at a value price. Machine wash and dry; pre-shrunk.
