The unexpected room element affecting patient satisfaction: malodor

When patients and visitors arrive at your facility, they take notice of everything they experience. What causes malodors in hospital settings?

There are many ways malodors could develop in your acute care facility. Strongly scented food being cooked in the cafeteria or by staff in the breakroom microwave, smelly items being discarded in trash or in the laundry bins or spills on floors or other surfaces can all be culprits for harboring unpleasant odors.
